Amy Slaton's Halloween wedding was full of surprises — including who didn't make her bridal party.
The 1000-Lb. Sisters star tied the knot with fiancé Brian Lovvorn in a ceremony at Talbott Tavern, a reportedly haunted landmark in Bardstown, Kentucky. But instead of choosing her sister and longtime TLC co-star Tammy Slaton as maid of honor, Amy, 38, gave the honor to her "extraordinary friend" Ollisha Davis.
"I deeply cherished the journey of wedding planning, embracing the art and location hunting, but selecting bridesmaids and groomsmen proved to be a profound challenge," Amy told PEOPLE ahead of the ceremony. "Yet I intuitively knew that my extraordinary friend Ollisha (Lee Lee) would graciously accept the esteemed honor of being my maid of honor, even before I extended the heartfelt invitation."
Amy's decision marks quite a shift from her first wedding in 2019, when Tammy, 39, stood by her side as maid of honor. That ceremony celebrated her marriage to Michael Halterman, whom she divorced in 2023 after welcoming two sons, Gage, 4, and Glenn, 3.

Despite the drama, Amy told the outlet her Halloween nuptials were everything she dreamed of. "My wedding is a dream finally coming true," she said. "I'm getting my happily ever after." The ceremony was officiated by Amy's friend Billy — the same officiant who married Tammy and her late husband, Caleb Willingham, in 2022.
Amy has faced a turbulent year leading up to her wedding. In September 2024 she was arrested — a moment she later described as a wake-up call. During an emotional conversation with her sister on the show, Amy admitted she's been "trying to stay out of trouble" while focusing on raising her two young sons.
The reality star grew visibly emotional as she reflected on how close she came to losing her children, saying through tears, "The fact that I could have lost my kids…" Tammy offered empathy, calling the situation "scary," but also urged her sister to face reality. "Being arrested is not independent," she said in a confessional, referring to Amy's earlier comment about trying to do things on her own. Wiping away tears, Amy told her sister, "This is the first time I broke down since like… Those two are the most, they're the reasons why I'm alive."
