Afterfailingthe Californiabar examrecently,Kim Kardashianwas hit with another unsettling revelation about her health, one that may even explain her disappointing test results.

On the latest episode of Hulu'sThe Kardashians, the 45-year-old reality star underwent abrain scan, and the results left her so stunned that she went straight intodenial.

"So that'sher excuseshe won't pass the bar exam," one social media user wrote, sarcastically mocking her diagnosis.

Kim Kardashian paid a visit to notable doctor Dr. Daniel Amen with Scott Disick in season 7, episode 6 of their reality show, which aired on Thursday, November 27.

The episode was pre-taped at a time when the businesswoman was dealing with intense stress, likely around late April, and only aired now.

"Scott and I are both going to look at our brains today with Dr. Daniel Amen. He does these brain scans to see how your brain health is really looking," Kim said in the show's confessional segment.

She further explained why she opted to get scanned, saying, "I'm so busy in my life."

"The bar is in two months. I have the Met Gala. I have my robbery trial coming up. Oh, and I might have abrain aneurysm, no biggie."

This prompted Disick to respond, "I'm sorry for all you're going through."

The 45-year-oldAll's Fairstar was told she has a "beautiful" brain, but several "holes" in her scans immediately raised alarms

When the results came in, Dr. Amen told Kardashian on camera that she has a "beautiful" brain and isn't at high risk for developing Alzheimer's disease.

"[You're] notterribly stressed, not anxious and not depressed. You are extraordinary in being positive," he added.

However, Kim noticed there were some "holes" in her scan, which confused her, prompting her to ask the doctor for an explanation.

According to Dr. Amen, the holes were an indicator of "low activity" in theSKIMSfounder's brain.

"The front part of your brain is less active than it should be. With your frontal lobes, as they work now, it would be harder to manage stress and that's not good for you, especially as you're studying and you're getting ready to take the boards."

Theresultwas a stunning revelation for Kim, who replied, "That just can't be, it just can't! Not accepting."

Dr. Daniel Amen had previously scanned Khloé Kardashian and Kendall Jenner's brains using his well-known brain imaging technology back in 2022

"I got to get on a plan to really figure this out because I have some s**t to do this summer," the reality star added, referencing her then-upcoming bar exam and the Met Gala.

The internet, however, was far from sympathetic about the timing of her on-screen diagnosis, especially since it aired shortly after news broke that she had failed this year's California bar exam.

One critic wrote, "Another excusefor not passing the Bar Exam," while another commented, "If I had the money I'd pay someone too to say that after not passing that bar."

A third joked, "Glad I'm not rich. Deciding where to go for lunch is soooo stressful."

"I feel for her…but… I thought the low brain activity was just the Botox freezing her face."

Earlier on November 16, Kim shared an emotionalInstagram videodocumenting the stress and disappointment she felt after not passing one of California's most competitive legal exams.

"This dream means too much to me to walk away from…" Kim shared in a video of herself crying shortly after failing the bar exam

Breaking down in tears, the mother of four said in theclip, "Every time I feel like I'm a step ahead, something happens to try to stop me from doing this. A part of me just wants to stop. I just feel like my brain's gonna explode and I still have so much more to go."

In the caption, she wrote, "On November 7th, I found out I didn't pass the bar."

"It was disappointing, but it wasn't the end. This dream means too much to me to walk away from, so I'm going to keep studying, keep learning, and keep showing up for myself until I get there."

Previously, on the November 20 episode ofThe Kardashians, Kim also revealed she had been diagnosed with a brain aneurysm during a separate scan.

"I did a Prenuvo scan, and they called me today, and they're like, 'Everything looks great. But you have an aneurysm in your brain. They're like, 'It's been there for like years. It was here a few years ago.'"

She noted that hermedical expertsbelieve stress may have been a contributing factor, adding, "People think I have the luxury of walking away."

"I probably would not make that public, if you are wanting to become a lawyer… That explains a lot of her decision making process," wrote one user

Luigi Mangione, the 27-year-old accused ofkilling a health insurance company executivein a brazen attack that sparked a national debate, will appear in court Monday as his attorneys seek to have his diary entries and other key evidence tossed from his state murder case.

Mangione wasarrested at a McDonald'sin Pennsylvania following a days-long manhunt after United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, 50, was fatally shot December 4, 2024, on a busy sidewalk in midtown Manhattan.

During the arrest, law enforcement recovered several pieces of evidence from Mangione's backpack that authorities say tie him to the killing. Mangione's lawyers argue police illegally searched his bag without a warrant, so that evidence should be barred from the state's case. Prosecutors denied the defense's claims and agreed to a hearing on the matter.

Mangione's defense is battling prosecutors in two cases: Lawyers in hisfederal death penalty casealso are trying to get much of the same evidence tossed. That case returns to court on January 9.

The hearing over the disputed evidence in the state case is expected to last several days, with both parties planning to call witnesses to testify, according to court documents. Mangione's attorneys have challenged the relevance of a handful of prosecution witnesses, including a 911 operator and a person who can authenticate McDonald's video evidence.

Defense attorney Karen Friedman-Agnifilo has asked Judge Gregory Carro to prevent the prosecution from showing the contents of the writings at the hearing, saying they could taint the jury pool. She objected to the prosecution's use of the term "manifesto," calling it a "prejudicial, invented law-enforcement label."

She also asked the judge to allow at least one of Mangione's hands to be unshackled during the hearing so he can take notes.

In September, Carrodismissed the top two chargesagainst Mangione – murder in the first degree in furtherance of an act of terrorism and murder in the second degree as a crime of terrorism – after he found the evidence had not established Mangione committed a terroristic act. Mangione still faces nine charges in the state case, and theseparate federal death penalty prosecution. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Key pieces of evidence seized

During Mangione's arrest last December, authorities seized several itemsfrom his backpack, including a handgun, a loaded magazine, and a notebook with handwritten entries – key pieces of evidence that prosecutors allege connect Mangione to the killing.

The recovered gun lines up with ballistic evidence from the Manhattan crime scene, prosecutors said in court documents. Authorities have called the writings in the notebook a "manifesto," pointing to sections that detailhis frustration with the healthcare industryand his intent to carry out an attack. Prosecutors said the entries "establish his responsibility for this vicious crime."

A still from bodycam footage of police searching Luigi Mangione's backpack. - Supreme Court of the State of New York

In a court filing, Friedman-Agnifilo argued the writings and all the items recovered from the backpack should not be admissible since police illegally searched the bag without a warrant, and there was no immediate threat to justify a warrantless search.

"Police conducted this warrantless search even though there were no exigent circumstances as Mr. Mangione was already in handcuffs, the backpack was on a table over six feet away and Mr. Mangione was separated from this table by a wall of armed officers," she wrote.

Police did not seek a search warrant for the bag until later that evening, about seven hours after they first opened the backpack, the defense attorney wrote in her filing.

Prosecutors can overcome the challenge if they can prove the evidence would have inevitably been discovered legally during the course of the investigation.

Even if the judge rules in favor of Mangione, prosecutors still have evidence ofhis DNA or fingerprintson several items discarded by the shooter near the crime scene, according to court documents.

Friedman-Agnifilo also moved to suppress any statements Mangione made to law enforcement before hisDecember 19 extradition to New York, claiming officers did not properly advise Mangione of his Miranda rights before they began questioning him in the McDonald's.

At the fast-food restaurant, Mangione allegedlygave police a fake IDbearing the name "Mark Rosario," but later told them that was not his real name. The same driver's license was used to book a room at the New York City hostel that was tied to the suspect, prosecutors said in court documents.

Mangione was read his Miranda warnings about 20 minutes after he was first approached by the officers, according to his attorney. After that, he exercised his right to remain silent.

Pope in Lebanon prays for peace at tomb of saint revered by Christians and Muslims alike

ANNAYA, Lebanon (AP) —Pope Leo XIVprayed Monday at the tomb of a Lebanese saint revered among Christians and Muslims as he opened his first full day in Lebanon with a message of peace andreligious coexistencein a region torn by conflict.

As bells rang out, thousands of enthusiastic Lebanese braved a morning of steady rain to line Leo's motorcade route heading into Annaya, around 40 kilometers (25 miles) from Beirut. Some waved Lebanese and Vatican flags and tossed flower petals and rice on his covered popemobile in a gesture of welcome as it zoomed by.

Every year, hundreds of thousands of pilgrims visit the hilltop monastery of St. Maroun overlooking the sea to pray at the tomb of St. Charbel Makhlouf, a Lebanese Maronite hermit who lived from 1828 to 1898. He is known for alleged miraculous healings that have occurred after people prayed for his intercession.

Leo prayed quietly in the darkened tomb, and offered a lamp as a gift of light for the monastery.

"Sisters and brothers, today we entrust to St. Charbel's intercession the needs of the church, Lebanon and the world," Leo said in French. "For the world, we ask for peace. We especially implore it for Lebanon and for the entire Levant."

Leo's visit to the tomb, the first by a pope, opened a busy day for history's first American pope. He is set to meet with Catholic priests and nuns at a shrine in Harissa and then preside over an interfaith gathering alongside Lebanon's Christian and Muslim leaders in the capital Beirut.

A message of peace in a time of turmoil

There, Leo was expected to hammer home his core message of peace and Christian-Muslim coexistence in Lebanon and beyond at a time of conflict in Gaza and political tensions in Lebanon that are worse than they have been in years. His visit comes at a tenuous time for the tiny Mediterranean country after years of economic crises and political deadlock, punctuated by the 2020 Beirut port blast.

More recently, Lebanon has been deeply divided over calls forHezbollah, a Lebanese militant group and political party, to disarm after fighting a war with Israel last year that left the country deeply damaged.

Leo was moving through Lebanon in a closed popemobile, a contrast with the previous Pope Francis, who eschewed bullet-proofed popemobiles throughout his 12-year pontificate. Lebanese troops deployed on both sides of the road along his motorcade route.

Leo was to end the day at a rally for Lebanese youth at Bkerki, the seat of the Maronite church, where he is expected to encourage them to persevere and not leave the country like many others despite Lebanon's many challenges.

A plea for Christians to stay

Leo arrived Sunday in Lebanon from Turkey where he opened his first trip as pope. He is set to wrap up his visit on Tuesday with a prayer at the site of the 2020 Beirut port blast and a Mass on the waterfront.

In his opening speech, Leochallenged Lebanon's political leadersto put aside their differences and work to be true peacemakers, while also urging Lebanese Christians in particular to remain in the country.

Today, Christians make up around a third of Lebanon's 5 million people, giving the small nation on the eastern coast of the Mediterranean the largest percentage of Christians in the Middle East.

A power sharing agreement in place since independence from France calls for the president to be a Maronite Christian, making Lebanon the only Arab country with a Christian head of state.

Lebanon's Christian community has endured in its ancestral homeland even as the rise of the Islamic State drove an exodus from communities in Iraq and Syria that dated to the time of the Apostles.

"We will stay here," said May Noon, a pilgrim waiting for Leo outside the St. Charbel Monastery. "No one can uproot us from this country, we must live it in it as brothers because the church has no enemy."

Bishop Antoine-Charbel Tarabay accompanied a group of 60 people from the Lebanese diaspora in Australia to welcome Leo and join in his prayer for peace but to also reinforce the Christian presence in the country.

"Even though we live abroad, we feel that we need to support young people and the families to stay here," he said as he waited for the pope to meet with clergy in Harissa, north of Beirut. "We don't like to see more and more people leaving Lebanon, especially the Christians."

Tarabay said Lebanese were grateful that Leo chose to visit on his maiden voyage as pope.

"He decided to say that there we have suffering people, we have young people that are very much like at the edge of desperation," he said. Leo, he said, decided: "I have to go there and to tell them 'You're not forgotten.'"
