Lady Gaga had to cancel her Miami concert on Wednesday night due to a vocal cord strain that posed "significant risk" to her voice if she performed live, the pop star said on her Instagram story. In her post, Gaga said her team is trying to reschedule the show "as quickly as possible." No information on a rescheduled date was available as of Thursday morning. The "Abracadabra" singer has been traversing the U.S. on her "Mayhem Ball" tour, which began on July 16 in Las Vegas. She performed in Miami at the Kaseya Center on Sunday and Monday before canceling Wednesday's show. Gaga said she was "so so sorry" to postpone the Wednesday concert. She explained that during rehearsal on Tuesday and Wednesday, her voice was "extremely strained" and that both her doctor and her vocal coach advised her to skip the concert "because of the risk it poses." "I want to be hardcore and just push through this for you but I don't want to risk long term of permanent damage on my vocal cords," Gaga said in the Wednesday Instagram story. "Even though this was a hard and agonizing decision I would be more afraid of the long term implications on my voice." Gaga said she takes "serious care" of herself and her voice "to be able to put on this demanding show." "I love my fans so much, respect you and hope you can accept my sincere regretful apology," she said. She also acknowledged what a "disappointment, let down, inconvenience" the postponement was. The tour heads back to New York City next, before heading up north to Toronto, then back to the States for a final stint in Chicago. Gaga will then continue performing across Europe, Australia, and Asia before the "Mayhem Ball" concludes on Dec. 13 in Sydney.
