Although it has yet to be specified which French city season 4 would be set in, the series has worked with the Four Seasons hotel chain in the past. Thecompany's luxury resortsdouble as the fictionalWhite Lotuschain in the TV show, and France is home to three Four Seasons: the well-known Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, located on the French Riviera; the Megève in the Alps; and the Hotel George V, located in Paris. White and HBO executives have played coy about the future settings of the beloved comedy-drama series in the past. In an episode ofUnpacking the Episodeon HBO Max, White teased, "For the fourth season, I want to get a little bit out of the 'crashing waves against rocks' vernacular. But there's always room for more murders at the White Lotus hotels." Francesca Orsi, HBO's head of drama, gave the biggest hint, previously tellingDeadlinein February, "I can't really say where we're going to land, but chances are somewhere in Europe." " As for more future locations, White has also teased that he'd like to make one season on every continent.
