On Friday, Oct. 3,Lauren Grahamwas honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the television category, and former costars of theGilmore Girlsalum, 58, were in attendance for her big moment. Series creatorAmy Sherman-Palladinohosted the ceremony where the actress, who played Lorelai Gilmore on the drama, received the 2,823rd star on Hollywood Blvd. JC Olivera/Variety via Getty In the audience was Graham's TV mom,Kelly Bishop(Emily Gilmore), andScott Patterson, who played Luke Danes, Stars Hollow's local diner owner and Lorelai's love interest. Matt Czuchry, who portrayed an ex-boyfriend of Lorelai's daughter, Rory Gilmore (played byAlexis Bledel), was also in attendance. A number ofGilmore Girlsproducers and writers also attended the ceremony. The drama series ran for seven seasons from October 2000 until May 2007. It followed single mom Lorelai and her teen daughter Rory living in the storybook Connecticut town of Stars Hollow, populated by an eclectic mix of dreamers, artists and everyday folks. A four-part follow-up miniseries,Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, was released on Netflix in 2016. In the series, Lorelai did her best to balance motherhood and love while running a local bed and breakfast with her best friend Sookie (Melissa McCarthy), while also trying to maintain a cordial relationship with her wealthy parents. We are proud to celebrate her incredible contributions to the entertainment industry," she added. October marks the 25th anniversary of the show's premiere. In March 2025, Graham told PEOPLE thatlanding the fast-talking role"hit me like meeting somebody."
